Everything

~Written by Elle~

This page will recieve no further updates. It does not mean this information will no longer be available, it simply means that this particular page will not be updated. However, I am currently working on many other pages that will hold the same information this page has/would have had, was I to finish it completely. Do not worry, all the same info will be located on my site, just in many smaller pages, so there is less load time, as well as it being better organized. Thank you. ^ ^

AM COMPLETELY REDOING THIS PAGE TO BE EASIER TO USE AND HELP YOU BETTER!! PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH ME. THANK YOU.

NOTE: For most of the screenies, I was on my example account, EX4MPLE, and not my main account. If you ever see EX4MPLE around Dizzywood, it’s me, screenying stuff for this guide. Please do not send friend requests to me on this account.

(Please visit my FAQ to find out what account I will accept friend requests on and for related info)

Here is my guide to everything about Dizzywood from the very moment you log on for the first time…

For finding what you need fast, use Ctrl F.

If you have any questions on this guide, or about Dizzywood, feel free to comment below.

Please be patient with me as I make this page. Right now it is in it’s beginning stages, but soon it’ll be finished and easy to use. If you know of anything I’ve forgotten, PLEASE leave a comment saying so!

When you first log in, under the picture of the area you’re in, (scene shot), this notice will appear, welcoming you to Dizzywood. Later on, when you look below the scene shot, this will be replaced with a present history of what people are saying and doing. (here-in called the WCL – Working Chat Log. The one near your backpack does not work at all! The one near your backpack I call the DCL, Dead Chat Log. Just so you know)

When you click Ok, this will pop up in the scene shot.

CHANGING YOUR LOOK

Click on the arrows to change the style, and click in the color boxes to see which colors are available for that ”item”. If you dont know what you want, click on randomize, but in all of the times I’ve clicked that, I’ve ended up with super pale, orange, blue, green, and pink skin.. I don’t suggest randomizing everything. xP

Once you like what you see, to the left of this box, you can click Done and it will save that as your look. Dont worry, you can change these settings anytime by pressing the ”Change Look” bubble in the above right hand corner, above the links to your backpack.

THE ”TOOL BAR”

Next to the Change Look bubble, it says your user name, the amount of coins you have, your server name, and the sign out button. Underneath this is a list of Who’s Here, who is in the same place as you, a list of all the buddies you have made (buddies who are on are shown in green, when the ones who are not are shown in white) the DCL (dead chat log, because I have no clue how it works) and your backpack. (CRTL F backpack for more info)

WALKING / CLOTHING / GAMES / TALKING

Now you will learn how to walk! Just click on the ground where you wish to go. If you happen to see someone walking differently, this is explained below. (you can CTRL F move scrolls to find this easily without having to read until then)

Now you know how to walk and talk, you will learn how to buy clothing. The clothing wagon is in the upper right of the scene shot, and looks like this:

When you click on it, you will get clothes! The clothes shown below are from a screenie I took while playing as my example character, EX4MPLE, who is a guy. Girls will get different clothing when they join. The clothing you get when you first sign up occasionally change, so you may not get these exact items when you join as a boy charrie. You DO NOT get these items if you skip the editorial, I dont think.

After that, you will need to click on the games wagon. It is to the left of the Clothing Wagon and looks like this:

(PICTURE TO BE ADDED WHEN I NEXT GET ON DIZZYWOOD AND CAN SCREENIE IT)

Now you will play a game of … oh.. oh.. DARN! I forgot what it’s called. I’ll edit this part with the game’s name later, when I next get on Dizzywood to find out.

Now you will receive some coins to start out in Dizzywood with! It’s not a lot, but don’t worry! Money will some day come easy.

Now go talk to Presto! This is a picture of what Presto looks like:

Presto will give you a warm welcome to Dizzywood, and then bring you out into the virtual world for you to have fun and meet new people in!

Now, if you happen to talk with Presto (Click on characters to talk with them. Click-able things will have a blue outline when you wave over them.) this is what he will say:

This is what the screen now looks like when you play on Dizzywood..

^ Right click to see this picture full. ^

Your BACKPACK

If you look to your right.. there is your backpack! It holds all of your items and gadgets in Dizzywood. Right now it looks kind of messy and disorganized, but after you gain a few more items it’ll have different ”cubbies” to hold things in, such as this POWERS cubby. (CRTL F and search POWERS for more info on powers)

Now you may walk around, play, and buy clothing to customize your charrie! You already know how to do all this, but how do you talk?

Underneath the scene shot, or the play screen, there’ll be a white bar you can type in. Click in that bar and type what you want to say, then press ENTER or click on the yellow SEND to the right of the text bar to say what you have typed. Sound long? Instead of clicking in the white bar every time, you can just type! If the last thing you clicked was your backpack, and you type, it will bring you to whatever item has those letters at the beginning of the item name. If the last thing you clicked was not in your backpack, you will type in the text bar for talking. Type and press enter instead of clicking on the bar and send button, it’s much easier.

REPORTING PROBLEMS

If you want to report someone for bad behavior, click on the red whistle to the left of the text bar, or click on REPORT A PROBLEM under the dark play box, above the green background for the page. The link to the report a problem page is in the lower right corner, underneath everything. It’s also next to the Explorer’s Journal, or Dizzywood (DW) blog. You can go to the Journal to see what’s new on Dizzywood, or comment on new stuff in the Comments part of the blog. You can also look up some DW history too!

Now you know how to do all of the basics, but what should you do first?!

Let’s start in Presto’s Grove, where you are now. If you look above the text bar, it will say in white lettering the name of the place you’re at.

PRESTOS GROVE

Presto’s Grove is the center of socialization, dailies, parties, shopping, and the only place that leads to Skytown. (CRTL F Skytown for more)

When you first log in, or use your map to come to the Grove, you’ll appear by Presto. (CRTL F traveling for more)

Behind Presto, you’ll see a bulletin board. Click on the newspaper pinned up to see if you missed a recent event. There are also Pathfinder Booklets to help you in your travels. (for more information, CRTL F Pathfinder and events)

In Presto’s Grove, the first thing you’ll want to do is EXPLORE! While exploring, you may happen upon some tools or such items laying around. Click on them! The closest one to where you begin playing is above Presto and his bulletin board, to the left of the games machine.

If you look to the right, you’ll see it’s in your backpack after you click on it! Also when you click on it, it’ll say something about a guy named Chanjo. Chanjo is an iguana character who is Dizzywood mechanic. He’s to the right of where you are, behind the Skytown Cannon. (CRTL F How to get to Skytown to find out more about the cannon!)

After you collect all of his tools..

..return to Chanjo for a prize! Here are where all of the tools are..

In the very top right of the area is Chanjo’s tool box.

In the lower right, under the tool box, will be some knuts, bolts, and screws.

Chanjo’s wrench is in the bottom left-center of the area, under one of the ”circles” in the path.

Now when you talk to Chanjo, you will receive your reward!

Coins are the currency in Dizzywood. Use them to buy clothing, furniture, reanimate crystal and statue critters, and some other fun stuff. (CRTL F clothing, furniture, and critters for more information)

The emotes you can send to friends to tell them how awesome, annoying, or cool they are. you can also ”feed” them to critters for crystals, which if you wave over, you get coins from! You can also get coins by waving over Moxie Mulch, elixir, and some other things. (CRTL F Ways to get coins for more information on what things you can wave over for coins, Critters for a list what emotes each critter will ”eat”, or emotes for a list of what emotes there are, what they are used for, and some ways in which you might obtain them)

Magic Mystery Wheel

If you look to your right, there’ll be this strange.. thing.

This is the Magic Mystery Wheel!

Every day you can click on it, and you will get a random item or amount of coins! There are four parts you can click on, but I don’t think that clicking on a certain part of the wheel would increase your chances of getting coins rather than an item or vise versa. I believe that the items given out by the wheel are random.

Be sure to visit every day!

HOW TO GET TO SKYTOWN

You’ve already seen the cannon in the Grove, but whenever you enter all that happens is that you shoot up and see lots of insects that give you coins.

BUT… after you obtain the ZAP power, you can zap the cannon in the grove, and when you enter it, you will shoot up to Skytown! WEEE! :D But be careful: if you enter the cannon too much before or after you zap the cannon, you may not get the full ”charge” of the shot, and only go halfway to Skytown, in which case you’ll need to try again.

In Skytown, you will be able to meet Olivia Kickflip, the Firefly Sprite / Cloud Sprite, and Amelia Vermillion.

(I have a picture of Olivia SOMEWHERE, but I cant find it right now. TO BE COMING SOON)

Olivia Kickflip, the skateboarding Kangaroo girl, will award you with skater clothes when you give her a golden skateboard wheel. You can also get skate clothes from the Skate Shop across the bridge in Skytown.

To get Gold Skate Wheels click on the machine to the left of Olivia and win 1500 points playing Bounce. Then loose all of your lives. Your points will not go down when you loose a life. After your lives are all lost (you gain more lives as time passes in the game or by catching certain falling objects) the game will end and you will get a gold wheel. If you close the game without loosing loosing all your lives and letting it close on its own, you will not get the wheels. Golden wheels can not be used to make a skateboard.

The Cloud Sprite is on the left of the first patch of ground in the sky, below the Bridge.

The cloud Sprite will eat any blue elixir you feed it. To get blue Elixir, ghost ray objects around Dizzywood, and wave over the elixir to obtain it. You can also get blue elixir while playing Jumper traveling from mine chamber to mine chamber in Emperor Withering’s Mine. (CRTL mine and powers for more info and to find out about Ghost Ray)

The Firefly Sprite is in Skytown, to the right of Amelia Vermillion’s home, next to a lamppost. If you click on the lamp post, you can play a game of Bounce. The Firefly Sprite is featured in events, and it helps you light up your mining helmet when you obtain one. (CRTL F the mines for more info)

The person in the photo with the Firefly Sprite is MrPook.. dont ask why he’s there. xP

Lastly, Amelia Vermillion is the only proffesional hairstylist in Dizzywood. If you find her red doorbell…

…and ring it, she may just open the door and welcome you inside. Once inside, she will tell you of her unfortunate loss of a Tint Brush and a Styling Comb. Help her obtain these items with a game of Flight, and she will offer to teach you how to style and color hair. But be warned; the lessons come for a cost of 3000 coins each. Now you will be able to style or color anyone’s hair, if they choose to let you. :)

SKATEBOARDS

Earlier on, when you clicked on Presto, he told you a little bit about skateboards. Below the Magic Mystery Wheel, you might see this:

It’s the deck of a skateboard! You click on it, and find that you need some wheels… hmm.

Here are all the locations of wheels!

In Presto’s Grove, slightly behind the Magic Mystery Wheel. If you walk close enough to the right of the wheel, you will see it.

In Tanglevine Jungle, to the upper left of the ROCK MAZE entrance. (CRTL F rock maze for more info)

In Presto’s Edge, in the VERY low left near a tree.

Also in Presto’s Edge, in the upper right corner, slightly above the sign to Tanglevine.

Once you have collected all of the necessary skateboard pieces, they will come together and build a skateboard!

You can now Skate around, traveling faster than with walking or using the RUN move. (CRTL F move scrolls for more info)

In Skytown Skatepark, there will be little orbs with pictures on them, and blue crosses. If you skate over these, you will do a skate trick! To get your own skate tricks that you can drop anywhere and do tricks with, power up to ten by skating over the blue crosses, then really fast skate over a move to gain that move! To drop them, just click on them from the Skate Stuff cubby in your backpack. You can even drop them in your room!

FALLING!

It is very easy to fall from Skytown, but here are some ways to prevent this:

Drop your home portal near the edge of the land, then walk off the edge, over the portal. When you fall, click on OK to go to your room. Now when you click on your door to leave you room, and go back to Skytown (the last place you were) you will be able to walk on air! (CRTL F powers or your room for more info)

You can also do this a long way, but this other way is funner. :)

Fall off the edge of Skytown, and then ZAP yourself. You cannot zap someone who is falling by clicking on them, so click on that person or you from the Who’s Here list to zap them instead. Now you’ll go to sleep for a little bit… tehehee. ^^ Now use your MAP or go to your room from your backpack to go someplace else, then come back to walk in the air. (CRTL F powers, your room, and who’s here for more info)

If you do either of these ”glitches” you will not be able to use levitation. To use levitation again, you will need to relog (log off then come back).

When you DO fall from Skytown, you end back up in Presto’s Grove.

YOUR ROOM

In Presto’s Grove, you might just see something that looks like this:

If you click on this TELEPORTER you will be taken to the Home Emporium. Here you can buy furniture to customize your room! To get a room, you will need to speak with Brooke Lodgington, who makes all the furniture herself. This is what she looks like:

While speaking to Brooke, she will offer you a room. You will need to pay her 100 coins in order to obtain your room. Honestly, that’s not a lot.

You can only get one room per character. It may seem small, but only until you organize it better. ;)

Your room you can decorate, hold parties/gatherings in, and make nice and comfy for you and critters to live in. But how do you do it?!

Customizing your Home

When you purchase a house, a new HOME section will appear in your backpack, filled with these items:

These items are all helpful to you in customizing your own little bit of Dizzywood. To easily teleport to the Home Emporium, without using a portal, just click on the ”GO TO HOME EMPORIUM” button in your backpack.

To visit your home, here are some things you can do:

  1. Drop a visitors portal on the ground. Walk over it, and click OK to go to your room. Friends and everyone else on DW can use your visitors portal to get to your room, unless it is locked.
  2. Click on the ”GO TO MY HOME” button in your backpack.
  3. Click on your picture in the Who’s Here list and then, after it has loaded a bit, it will show a button to your home. You can also visit your friends houses this way, from the Friends List or Who’s Here list, unless they have locked their room or dont have one yet.

To Lock your room, simply click on the lock in your backpack and select LOCK ROOM or UNLOCK from the blue tab that will appear in the lower right of the scene shot. Now it is locked, or unlocked, and friends can either visit or not visit. You can only lock/unlock your room if you are in your room, and if your room is locked only you will be able to go in.

Now you know how your room works, let’s learn how to make it look exactly how you want it. :)

Buying Furniture:

There are many different showrooms to buy furniture in: The Blue Showroom (sometimes called the Purple Showroom), Party Showroom, Mansion Showroom, Antique Showroom, Brick showroom, and a few others.

Each room is filled with different furniture. Make sure to explore all of them before making up your mind to buy a certain item or not; a better one may come your way. :)

To buy furniture, wave your mouse over the object and then a green BUY button will appear on it. If it is grey and crosses out, you cant afford that item. If it is green, you can click on it, and a little window will appear in the scene shot asking if you’re sure you want to pay this many coins for this item. Click either yes or no and continue shopping.

To see how much an item costs, look for the yellowish ”tag” on it somewhere. It might be a bit to the side or a bit below the item instead of directly on it, so be careful not to think the tag for the Flower Lamp is really for the Fish Tank. Sometimes an item will be covering up the tag for another item. To see how much it costs, you can either ghost ray the item in the way or click on it to see how much it is by looking on the window that pops up asking if you’re sure you want to spend (this much coins) on (this item).

Wallpaper and Flooring

Wallpaper and Flooring can be purchased from frames in the bottom corners of the showrooms. The frames with wallpaper designs are marked with W and flooring design are marked with F on the top panel of the frame.

To preview a flooring/wallpaper design, click inside the frame and that design will appear in the showroom you are in. To change it back, if you want to, just find the frame with the design the room had before. :P

Magic Size/Move

Magic size and magic move are VERY useful! They let you flip furniture, move it around your room, and turn it upside down.

To use Magic Move or Magic Size, just click on either one from your Backpack and then click on the item you wish to use it on. Then click on the purple arrows to change the size or place of an item.

  • To Make an item face the other way (Left/Right) use Magic Size. Make it really thin, thinner, no, thinner still, there! It will have become so thin it has flipped, and now the arrow making it thin makes it wide! To make an item upside-down use the same technique, just using the Up-Down arrows instead of the Left-Right ones.
  • To make an item float in the air, use the UP arrow, at the very top, above the BACK arrow and DOWN arrow. This will raise it up off the ground. Maybe you could make a completely upside-down room by flipping items and making them float. :)

Other items can be placed in your room as well:

Some LOOT items, Garden Items, and Critters can be placed in your room as well. Use these items to your advantage, making a room more flowery or animal friendly. If you get, let’s say, a picnic basket, from an event, it will show up in your loot. You can also place this in your room. Move it to the table or put it on your red beach towel to make a room look ”rarer”.

Room ”RARITY”

Event items do somewhat clutter up a room, if you have to many of them in disorganized places, but they can be used to add rarity to a room. The event items you can only win from the events, which you eventually cant do anymore, or from a VERY lucky spin on the Mystery Wheel. (or from begging Dizzywood for them, but that is sad.)

You should use event items (as well as other items hard to get, such as Onakasi artifacts or the items you can get from the Bounce/Blocks/Combo Drop/Flight missions) to your advantage to make your room purely amazing. :)

  1. Heyy Elle ^_^

Your working hard on this lol ;]

Lots of people will visit your webbie its good;]

Elle~ I’m now making it into lots of smaller pages, so you wont see any updates on this one. I will take this one down when all the others are finished. :)

  2. Thank you! I apologize I did not reply too fast, I’ve been busy lately and didn’t check my comments. xP
Yes, I have been working hard, and I hope it will pay off!
PLEASE, if there is ANYTHING I forgot to add to this page, in the next week or so, comment saying so! I would GREATLY appreciate that! :D

But I’m working on it. ;)

  6. Oooh… maybe I should have asked where is Whistler. :P

  7. kewlio you gotz it all

Elle~ Well, sadly… (sniffle sniffle) it’s not everything YET. :( I’m making lots of smaller pages instead of finishing this one, but all the same information will be on my webbie somewhere. :P

  8. woah geese elle how long did it take you to write all of this? you must have a lot of free time lol jk but im glad you were able to do all of this cuz i would not have the patience to write all if this :P
but congrats to you ! :D

  9. You can win event items from the mystery wagon? :o

  10. Woah, what you can?! Oh, yeah… we can. ^^ ”

  11. Did you ever win any from it? The most interesting thing I ever got was a box of fireworks…

  12. Fireworks count as an event prize, to me, so (cough). Yeah. I once got the umm… the umm.. man, I forgot. :(
(goes to check DW inventory) Oh, yeah. I got a second picnic basket (event prize a few weeks back) from the wheel. I asked DW to take it out because I only wanted one, and they gave me fireworks for it. (I have about three hundred of each kind of firework now. O.O)

…oh, and that (cough) was because my sister came up behind me and spooked me, and I was eating pudding. :3 So it made me cough. Thankfully, though, I had already swallowed… (glares at sister)

Man, I talk to much. :(

  13. WOW. Extremely useful!!

Elle~ Thank you, I’m still working on it though. ^^

  14. Thats like, really good, it musta took a while to do that
Elle~ Yeah, but not all that long. Mostly because I did the sections on their own and then just put them all together, all at different times. :) It’s still not finished yet. =/

  15. Moon,
there’s three places to click on The Magic Mystery Wheel.
Not to be a know-it-all or anything, but still. :/

    Elle~ I know. ^^

(Thinks: “did I misinform on the page?! — leaves to check — )

  16. Whoops,
    I meant four.

Elle~ OH!! Much more sense now. xD I thought I had put two not three when your last comment. Could oyu tell me where the fourth place is? I would appreciate that lots! :)

  17. Yeah.
Next time I see you on DW.

Elle~ Thanks, Tis, you’re awesome. :) I’ve updated the part where I said three not four. Thank you for correcting me! If you see anything else wrong, please tell me.

  18. Okay. =)

  19. Uhhh….
    It still says three. ?_?

    Elle~ (still confuzzled)

  20. Oh yeah it does Koolgal!

    Elle~ (still confuzzled)

  21. Okay, it says four now! :D

    Elle~ =D

  22. =D

  23. This Webbie Is AWESOME!!!I Wanna Have Long Post :(

    Elle~ I’m working on it. =(

  24. Gotta agree with u on that. :D

  25. This page has EVERYTHING i tell you!

  26. sigh why doesnt anyone come to my blog if you dont it must be pretty useless >:( if you dont go to it im throwing it away for good!!!

Elle~ If you want lots of visits, a site has to be updated. People have already read everything on there and now have nothing to read, so they don’t visit.

I don’t care if you close your blog, and I didn’t care when Frosty closed her blog; it was very sad, yes, but people have lives away from blogs and you can always talk to them else where.

  27. Frosty was being very stubborn when she closed her blog. I wasn’t sad at all.

  28. Everyone was making Frosty mad. She’s replied recently on the Dizzywood Explorer’s Journal posts, saying she missed us all.

  29. I started blogging around the time Frosty quit. Back then, her blog was so famous, you just had to type in “dizzywood” in Google or Yahoo and it would pop up. That’s how I found it.

  30. Very good but PLEASE show where the cannon is!!!!

  31. thx, how do u change the name of a room when ur a gold explorer

  32. Click on the Edit tool in the Home section of your backpack and then on the door to the room. This should bring up a room editor, and oyu can name the room.
    Good luck!

  33. um that doesnt work for me
