Dizzywood Newbie

You are taking a drive through the country with all of your Dizzywood Critters, admiring the wavy hay fields, the tufts of corn that peak above the fences, and the many acres of wild flowers and tall grasses.

Turning down a small pebbled road lined with birch trees and a bubbling stream, you catch a glimpse of a thatched room far off in a little valley.

Your Critters are all restless and seem to have heaping amounts of energy, but you are tired as tired can possibly be. You could do for a nice waffle or baked potato right about now.

You head down the road, hoping that the little house will have a fireplace and a nice Comfy Sofa for you to rest in.

You ask your critters over your shoulder how they are doing, and they reply in unheard whispers. You look around. you had not realized that you had entered a forest! There are pretty jade trees all around and flowers everywhere. The sun is setting beneath the mountains surrounding the valley you saw the little house in, making the air slightly orange, yellow, and pink.

A few bends in the road and you will have reached the little house, which you now see is built of red brick with dormer windows all around. As you gaze around, you notice you are in a little forest glade. High in the trees you notice a bridge connected to two platforms built around the trunks of giant and leafy trees. Looking closer you notice an entire network of tree platforms and bridges, some made of rope and others boards.

You try to make a picture out of the placement of the platforms. You think it may be in the shape of a crescent moon.. but you are not sure. It might be a dented watermelon, or maybe a muffin with a bite taken out of it.

Suddenly you feel a tug on your sleeve. You look down to see that one of your critters is pulling on it trying to get your attention. ”Look!” the critter whispers, pointing towards the little house.

Looking in the direction your critter is pointing, you see the lights turn on inside the house and light up the windows. You feel no sense of alarm. Watching the shadows made in the window, you can make out the familiar shapes of Dizzywood critters. Then they dissappear.

A voice suddenly comes through the misty sunset air. A girl’s voice. You look in the direction of the sound, and see that the Dizzian who’s voice it is is walking towards you. She is smiling hugely.

”We haven’t had guests in FOREVER!” The girl exclaims, clapping her hands together and smiling even more.

Behind her you see why there are no longer shadows in the windows; all of the girl’s Critters have followed!

All the critters present (yours and the Girl’s) mesh together and start laughing and talking like old friends before you even see them leave the cart. (It’s a story about the country, so we’ve gotta ride in carts not cars!)

”My name’s Elle, by the way. As you can see below me,” the girl looks at the ground under her feet ”That isn’t my user name, but it’s my nickname I would like you to call me.” she finishes with a (is it even possible?!) bigger smile. ”My Critters are off showing yours their playground I have for them in the trees. I hope you don’t mind.” Elle says, walking towards her little home. Without thinking you follow her in.

”This little place we call home, although our REAL home is in the trees. It’s just not safe to live outside anymore.” She says, and for the first time frowning. Elle kicks aside some stuffed waffles with pins stuck in their eyes, and opens a little door.

Beyond the door is s a small room with a little wooden ladder, with hay scattered about on the floor. You think that it would make a nice sleeping place for a couple of your critters, and add ”Funny Hay Filled Room” to your mental wish list.

As the two of you climb up, you enter a room that fills the entire attic. In this room are the four dormer windows you noticed earlier. In the very middle of the room is a table, at the center a compass. It points directly out one of the four dormer windows.

”Our house faces directly west, as you can see here. We only realized it after living here for a few years.” she says, with a face looking like xD. She throws off of a desk some papers, a few stuffed toys, a Critter’s blanket, and a.. was that a potato?! .. and offers you a seat. You look at the compass and see it’s on the north side of the table. You’re on top! (another face like xD)

”I assume you’re here to learn more about our weebie, correct?” Elle says, shoving a file (that appeared out of nowhere) across the table at you. ”Here you are. This file me and my critters have made up for all of our curious guests to read. You can learn all about us from there.”

You open the file, admiring the neat penmanship. You find yourself suddenly looking at a feather quill on a desk on the other side of the room. You shake your head to get yourself out of staring at the quill, look back and the file, and up at Elle, who is suddenly gone. You hear a dull creak as someone goes down the laddder to the room you are in.

”Be right back up! I’m getting us SNACKS!” you hear Elle say. ”What would you like?”

”Uhh… a waffle?” you say, half way confuzzled.

”No waffles in this house! No way!” she says. ”Why not a mug of hot chocolate?” and before you can reply you hear her turn on a microwave. (So much for the old fashioned story huh?) you suddenly remember having seen Waffle stuffed toys with pins in their eyes, stuffed in jars of pickle juice, and such down stairs. Waffle Voodoo dolls?! you think, trying not to tip the chair back laughing hysterically. Your face goes deep tomato red trying not to laugh. You decide you’ll read the file, since it will take your mind off of laughing.

I have not been on Dizzywood since the beginning.. BUT.. I’m a nut about it! Thus I know an awful lot.

I joined Dizzywood at the beginning of June, 2008. Some people think I am a Beta tester, but I am not.

I have eleven critters on Dizzywood. I decided to make little profiles for them below. Scroll down to see them. ^_^

People say that I’m rich. I’m truly not! I just save my money when there are no events and spend it all when there are! Tehehee… ^^

Another thing you should know about me is that I hate making long posts but somehow I always do! …and I’m a nut.

You open to the next few pages of the file, and find the Critter Profiles mentioned above.

Flitt: a Flutterbird, who is the oldest of all the critters. When the others get mad at Pidge (for his popularity) she threaten to use her long beak on them. BEWARE the beak! D:

Harron: the little piggy who went Weeeee! Wooo! Weeee! All the way home. He currently sits on the red sofa chair in the ”home”. Never fights.

Himikoko: A black cat who dyed her fur orange. None of the other cats liked her. But now she’s fairly well known… mainly for beating up on Pidge. (who is a Fish)

Izzii: A sweet and truthful lizard who does not think before she speaks. She later regrets it. She has a grudge against Pidge for stealing her acting career, but has settled down as the family baker.

Pidge: a floating fish who fell from Skytown Skatepark after being abandoned by his past Dizzian owner. He is now a local Celebrity, mainly on the Explorer’s Journal, and in nearly all sleepover story telling sessions. He sits in his tank on his teddy bear throne and demands for Izzii to bake him more eclairs.

Tator: a Batty fox with a comical attitude on the world. He likes being with other bats like himself, and always gets into the family arguments (mainly because of his ”jokes”). He likes being with Flitt because she was his jail buddy in Emperor Withering’s mine. He sticks by her all the time because he fears she’ll be locked in other secured crystal boxxi thing.

Yuki: a Twinklepig who was saved from Grool Grubnibbler, one of Withering;s Henchman. She is very mature and has the worst temper when you make her mad. Her favorite ‘’sibling” is Pidge, because ”he needs lots of protecting, don’t cha know!” (quote from Yuki)

You also find a few photos of a house, Titled ”Our home in the City” They have two homes? (cough cough one on Dizzywood and this made up story book one ABOUT Dizzywood, lol… oops, cough)

After that there is nothing more. You close the file and try and find the cabinet it belongs in. It takes forever. You’ve found three lemon scented socks (Yes, apparently you have a good nose), seven voodoo waffle dolls, a potato dressed in a tuxedo?… weird, a rubber ball… and.. OH! Here it is! The filing cabinet. You replace the file… and can’t help but want to look at the others! But… you MUST… resist! You yell at yourself in your head. Somehow you manage.

You sit back down at the table, and wonder at how the sunset looks so orange.

Elle walks back in and offers you a cup of hot cocoa, and you come out of the curiosity stage.. sort of. You ask Elle what sort of stuff she does and will be doing.. for some reason.

”If you would like to find me on Dizzywood, then I can usually be found on Wobbly (my favorite) Snazzy (because it’s got two Zs. The coolest letter) or Boppy (Because I like the word Boppy!) If I’m not on any of those… I am on whatever server my friends are on. ^_^ (Or I am doing something fun offline.)” she says.

”Usually people have a best buds page on their blogs. Why don’t you?” is your next question.

”I will not be making a Bestest Budies Page because I fear feelings would get hurt or people who dont like those people will hate me and then… (you get the picture) I like everyone! Yayers!” Elle says, and does a mini ”likes everybody” dance by the desk. ”Hehee… it DOES say in that file that I’m a nut!” she says apologetically, sitting back down blushing.

”Any more questions?”

”Yes! Where have my critters gone!” :O

”Oh dear! I think they’re outside in the trees.” she says, leading you back down from the attic room and out the door. ”Just follow me.”

You follow Elle down an invisible path in the bushes beneath the great trees, and you hear hysterical giggling and chatter form high above. The Critter’s are obviously up there, you think to yourself, smiling.

”Up on this.” Elle pulls you up onto a platform you know you would have tripped over because you were looking at the sky. ”Mind helping me?”

You both pull a rope, much like the rope to pull a flag up a pole, lifting the wooden box you are in higher and higher into the branches. You look around, and see that the sun has set and the night sky is settling in all around. It will soon be black night. You should be heading home soon.

Once at the top of the pulley, the box comes to a smooth stop and Elle pulls yet another rope to put down the door you stepped through into the strange elevator. You could have climbed over the top, but you must admit the contraption IS pretty cool.

You then watch Elle blow a broken whistle. Elle stops and laughs. ”It’s a Critter Whistle. We can’t hear it, only our Critters can.” Suddenly your Critter’s and Elle’s appear on the bridge leading to another tree platform. They run to you with huge smiles and say goodbye to their new friends.

You know your Critters will be begging to come back. you ought to get one of these tree houses… es.. things… for your yard too! (If ever Dizzywood will make yards for us).

You all travel back down in the wood box, which amazingly fits all of you comfortably, and you and your Critters head back to your cart. You wave goodbye to the Girl, Elle, and her Critters, smiling.

You look around you. The moon is shining through the jade leaves into the glade. It seems so peaceful and calm. You liked getting to know the crazy and sweet Elle girl.

Your Critters are all in the cart, calling for you to get in with them. You wave goodbye and send goodnight wishes to everyone present before hopping in.

Turning the bend away, you yell back. You hope that Elle has heard you say ”We’ll be back sometime soon!” and seeing her smile before the glade and all it’s magical contents were blocked by the screen of trees tells you that she will be more than happy for another visit.
