Okay, so there’s a lot going on right now. I’m going to put little dashes in between each different topic, to spread things out a bit and stay organized. We really need organization right now.

First off, Gold Explorers. For the cheapest subscription, you pay $5 a month, for 12 months, give or take a few cents. This means you pay $60 a year. The only form of payment right now is by credit card, which isn’t very safe online. Due to this, I’m not going to get a subscription, and won’t be posting on anything gold-related. Gold Explorers are premium, or celebrity, players. They get secret “gold explorers only” missions, homes, items, features, and more than just that. It’s causing Dizzywood players to separate into two classes of people – The Gold people, and the plain people. It’s not the greatest situation right now, at least not for those who can’t afford it or who’s parents aren’t going to use a credit card on a “silly virtual game”. Many players are quitting, mad at the new Dizzywood “class system”, which is invisible but still there, and sad that they can’t get all the cool new stuff premium members get. We’re all worried (us players who can’t afford it) that we’ll have our better items taken away, because they’re featured as premium items on the subscriptions page Dizzywood published when they announced the gold explorer feature. We probably will not have them taken away, but we’ll probably not get anything like it unless we pay some money.

The entire system seems unfair, but Dizzywood has to have some form of income in order to pay it’s workers and buy new computers to work and build on. They were going to launch the gold explorer feature back in the Summer, but they didn’t. We should be glad they let us all play the same for as long as they did. Don’t get mad at the premium players – they’re just like you, and just because you’re jealous doesn’t mean you should get mad. Premium players, be nice to us normal Dizzies – we’re just like you, we just can’t buy anything right now.

Even though most of us want to freak out and cry (sniff – some comments I’ve received are already like that) but it’s not that big a deal. There are hundreds of other free online games, and just because our favorite one has suddenly become our dreaded nightmare, does not mean the end of the world – just the virtual one.
